Other considerations 

You may also have clients with established donor-advised funds or private foundations who talk with you about the challenges of adding value to the processes of giving money away wisely. 

The Evanston Community Foundation can work with you and your clients on a range of matters of concern to philanthropically minded clients.

Giving across the generations:  We can help you assist clients in involving family members in their philanthropy—this can help you improve your connections with family members as well. 

Clients with smaller foundations who are tiring of the administrative chores and/or whose family members are too spread out or lacking in interest may want to discuss development of a relationship with the Evanston Community Foundation.

Help with complex assets:  Dealing with gifts of appreciated stock at year-end to several different charities involves a lot of time.  When clients set up a Donor Advised Fund, it simplifies the process, for you and for them. 

Building stronger relationships:  By expressing your own interest in charitable giving, you and your client can build a stronger professional relationship.
